The SUPERON – Super Optimal 7018 Carbon Steel Welding Electrode (E7018, 350 mm, 5 kg pack) is a low-hydrogen, iron-powder electrode designed for high-performance welding in demanding environments. It provides stable arc control, high deposition rates, and minimal spatter, while its self-lifting slag simplifies post-weld cleaning. Excellent fluidity also enables smoother out-of-position welding and easier electrode handling.
Designed for carbon steel and low-alloy steel, it delivers strong mechanical properties, including a yield strength ≥450 N/mm², tensile strength of 540–620 N/mm², elongation ≥27%, and impact toughness ≥80 J at −30°C. With ultra-low diffusible hydrogen (4 ml/100 g weld metal), it significantly reduces the risk of hydrogen-induced cracking and ensures durable weld integrity.
Typical applications include structural welding for bridges and buildings, shipbuilding, pressure vessels, boilers, pipelines, and heavy machinery, as well as industries such as oil and gas, automotive, and aerospace.
