The Makita D-14087 SDS-PLUS chuck adapter is designed to increase the versatility of SDS-PLUS rotary hammers by allowing the attachment of a standard drill chuck. This adapter makes it possible to use conventional round-shank drill bits, reducing the need for multiple tools on-site.
Constructed from high-quality steel, the adapter is engineered for durability and performance in demanding applications. It includes an M6 x 22 mm reverse-thread locking screw to secure the chuck and prevent loos. For best resultsening during operation, it is recommended for use with the Makita 763191-5 1/2″ Keyless Drill Chuck.
When using this adapter, the rotary hammer must be set to rotation-only mode (hammer action off) to avoid damaging the chuck or breaking non-SDS bits.
