RAPID SET ANCHORING & PATCHING CEMENT is a grey cement-based product designed with non-sag properties for sealing and weatherproofing of deep cracks, holes as well as general repairs to mortar and concrete up to 100mm depth. It contains additives, which improve both water resistance and workability, and has been specially formulated to provide low shrinkage characteristics over wide gaps. Once dry it can be sanded, carpeted or tiled to achieve the desired finish.

Applications
Ideal for interior and exterior use and can be used to repair or fill cracks and cavities in vertical concrete, stone, stucco, cement rendering or masonry block surfaces from 10mm to 100mm deep e.g. repairing damaged stairs, walls, cement windowsills and repairing minor damage in floors where screeding is not required.
Limitations
Not suitable for repairing structural faults i.e. foundation movements.
Not suitable for repairing cracks less than 10mm in width. For these we recommend either ALCOLIN INTERIOR CRACKFILLER or ALCOLIN EXTERIOR CRACKFILLER.
Safety instructions
RAPID SET ANCHORING & PATCHING CEMENT contains cement, which is alkaline and may cause skin irritation. Wear rubber gloves. In the event of skin contamination, rinse thoroughly with cold water. Seek medical assistance if irritation or discomfort persists. Avoid contact with eyes. Allow any unused product to dry before disposing of the container. Do not empty into drains. Keep RAPID SET ANCHORING & PATCHING CEMENT away from children and pets! Refer to our Material Safety Data Sheets for further toxicological information and comprehensive handling instructions.
Surface preparation
- Repairing deep holes or cracks: Undercut the edge of the repair area at least 30mm below the surface using a hammer and cold chisel. Brush out all loose concrete, dust, and other material until there is a solid dust free base for the repair.
- Prime area to be repaired with ALCOLIN PERMOBOND diluted 1:3 with water.
- Allow the ALCOLIN PERMOBOND to dry completely before applying the patching material.
Directions for use
Mixing
- Gradually add approximately 500g of RAPID SET ANCHORING & PATCHING CEMENT to 125ml of clean water or approximately 4 volumes of RAPID SET ANCHORING & PATCHING CEMENT to 1½ volumes of water and mix thoroughly to form a lump free paste.
- Allow mix to stand for 2 – 3 minutes.
- Remix before use.
- Do not mix more RAPID SET ANCHORING & PATCHING CEMENT than can be applied in 10 minutes.
Application
- Work RAPID SET ANCHORING & PATCHING CEMENT into the gap.
- Immediately smooth and level the patch using a lightly wetted putty knife or trowel.
- Once the RAPID SET ANCHORING & PATCHING CEMENT has lost its water sheen, trowel the area to desired finish.
- Ensure the repaired surface is protected from direct sunlight, wind and rain for the first 24 hours for best results.
- Keep the trowel clean and damp when applying RAPID SET ANCHORING & PATCHING CEMENT. This will prevent the mix from curling back up on the trowel.
Note: For enhanced adhesion, flexural strength and water resistance in permanently wet areas, replace the water addition rate for the RAPID SET ANCHORING & PATCHING CEMENT with PERMOBOND diluted 1 part with 3 parts waters.
Cleaning: Tools can be cleaned with water.
