Applications
ALCOLIN WOODFILLER is used by cabinet makers, woodworkers, decorators and the DIY enthusiast to fill cracks, splits, holes and surface defects and imperfections in all kinds of wood. Also suitable as a grain filler – including end grain.

Limitations
Not suitable for use where flexibility and movement accommodation are needed. Use ALCOLIN WOODMATE instead.
Do not apply onto coated surfaces.
As the product is not water resistant, for external applications, it must be over coated with varnish or paint.
Some two-part acid catalyzed varnishes may not adhere to ALCOLIN WOODFILLER. Test for suitability before using.
Safety instructions
When working with ALCOLIN WOODFILLER, it is advisable to wear gloves in order to avoid direct contact with the skin. Although the product is non-toxic, safe handling practices should still be implemented to avoid irritating sensitive skin.
If glue comes in contact with eyes, flush thoroughly and immediately with water for at least 15 minutes. Seek medical attention. For skin, wash thoroughly with soap and water.

Surface preparation
The surface must be clean, free from all loose materials, dust, dirt, oil and any other contaminants. When working with woods that are oily or high in tannic acid, wipe the surfaces with acetone before application. If surface is very dry, dampen with water prior to product application.
Directions for use
Apply with a putty knife or paint scraper by pasting over the hole or crack.
For deep holes apply ALCOLIN WOODFILLER in several layers, allowing each layer to dry between applications.
For grain filling applications, thin with water to a creamy consistency and apply.
Remove any excess ALCOLIN WOODFILLER immediately.
Allow to dry before sanding or over-coating – from few minutes for thin applications to a few hours for deep applications. To speed up drying time, a hairdryer can be used over the filled surface.
Larger applications may shrink and crack on drying. Re-apply ALCOLIN WOODFILLER.
Notes
If product appears a little dry, add a small amount of hot water and mix to a smooth paste. Alternatively place container into a bowl of hot water to soften the contents.
If slight separation is observed, mix thoroughly before using.
ALCOLIN WOODFILLER will absorb stain slightly different from wood, which may cause colour variation.
To obtain different colours, mix the different woodfiller colours together. Alternatively, mix with a little universal paint tint.
Cleaning: Tools can be cleaned with water.
