The YCS8-I+II 40PV 3P DC1000 is a high-performance surge protective device tailored for photovoltaic power generation systems. It protects against surge overvoltages caused by lightning strikes or grid disturbances by conducting excess energy to ground in nanoseconds.
This SPD supports both Class I (10/350 μs) and Class II (8/20 μs) waveforms, with a maximum discharge current of 40kA and a voltage protection level Up ≤ 1.5kV. Built on zinc oxide technology, it offers no power frequency aftercurrent and a response time of ≤25ns.
Its modular and pluggable design allows easy replacement. A green/red status window indicates operational health, and dual thermal disconnectors enhance safety. Optional remote signal contacts are available. Ideal for PV combiner boxes, distribution cabinets, and DC-side lightning protection.
