Crimpers are not ordinary pliers! You can crimp wires with different types of pliers but with a crimper the results will be more precise and cleaner. If a wire crimper is chosen properly, it will make a cold weld between the wire and the barrel of the connector. There are two types of wire strippers: the manual and the automatic. Ronix Wire Crimper with different stripper knife sizes is an automatic hand tool. It has a mechanism to grip the wire, close the jaws and pull off the insulation. But with the manual crimpers, you can only slot the wire into the corresponding notch, close the jaws, and pull off the insulation.
