The ESAB – Weld 6013L Mild Steel Welding Electrode (E6013, 350 mm length) is engineered for ease of use and reliable performance across a wide range of applications. Its rutile coating ensures stable arc characteristics, smooth weld beads, and self-releasing slag, while also providing excellent striking and restriking properties. The electrode is relatively insensitive to surface impurities such as rust, primer, or galvanized coatings, which makes it particularly suitable for welding general structures and thin plates, including galvanized steel. Compatible with AC, DCEP, and DCEN power sources, the 6013L electrode is highly versatile and performs well in all welding positions, including vertical down. With mechanical properties such as tensile strength of 536 MPa, yield strength of 458 MPa, elongation of 22.5%, and impact toughness of 69.8 J at 0°C (for 3.2 mm diameter), it delivers strong and durable welds. Available in diameters such as 2.5 mm, with a standard electrode length of 350 mm, and packaged in 5 kg packs, the ESAB Weld 6013L is ideal for welding mild steel structures, frames, ladders, handrails, shipbuilding and marine structures, DIY projects, maintenance, and repair work in workshops and construction sites.
